Synopsis: The Police Academy's ambitious, scheming and unpopular Captain Harris attempts to unseat the dim-witted but good-hearted and popular Commander Lassard by revealing a mandatory retirement clause applicable to a man of Lassard's age. Lassard's last act is before retiring is to address a Miami police convention where he is to be awarded an award for the decade's best police commander. The loyal graduates follow him there, to support him, only to uncover more crime as a jewel thief accidentally switches bags with Lassard at the airport.
